1. Manager, Communications, Media Relations & Editorial
Jobs Responsibilities
● Manage and prepare related internal and external documentation, corporate write-up content and speeches for the company and sustain regular monitoring and updates with approved information/promotion.
● Work closely with the relevant internal and external parties in planning and organizing communications and public relations-related activities.
● Maintain good rapport with the government agencies, NGO’s private sectors, and media.
● Responsible for monitoring and compiling the PR activities.
● Attend to students’ research requests and visits to KTMB, applications from external parties (government/ business/ etc.)
● Involve in organizing corporate events.
● Plan Internal Communications Program, content and publication.
● Prepare articles and press releases for the media.
● Assemble press kits. Compose and edit press releases, company literature, and articles for internal and external use.
● Cultivate and enhance collaborative working relationships within the press and publicity community.
● Assist in crisis management i.e. train disruptions, emergency issues, at any odd hours.
● Set the editorial direction and strategy for the Company
● Ensure all content aligns with the company’s brand and voice and is consistent with the company’s style guide.
● Involved in content creation, editing, and proofreading.
● Review and correct written material, checking for errors in grammar, spelling, and products.
Requirements
● Bachelor’s Degree in Communications / Public Relations / Journalism or its equivalent from any recognized University; or
● For Internal Candidates, must be permanent and confirmed staff with experience of at least three (3) years in Grade G06 and no disciplinary record within three (3) years;
● Good PMS record with an average grade C for the past three (3) years;
● Five (5) to seven (7) years of professional experience in communications, media relations or editorial roles;
● Proven track record in managing media relations, creating effective communications strategies and editorial work;
● Experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably within a communications team.
● Experience in crisis communication and handling media inquiries effectively.
● Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
● Able to work independently in a multi-task and fast-paced environment.
