JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be under Carlton Holiday ( Shah Alam) Sdn Bhd, one of the Koperasi Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia Berhad's subsidiaries. The selected candidate will lead the Human Resources Department of Carlton Holiday Hotel & Suites, located at No.1, Persiaran Akuatik, Seksyen 13, 40100 Shah Alam, Selangor.

Responsibilities:

1) Manage all Human Resources related activities including recruitment & selection, compensation & benefits, payroll & salary management, performance appraisal & evaluation management, leave management, training, employee relations, industrial relations, personnel administration and staff movement.

2) Develop, implement and administer HR strategies, policies, rules, regulations, procedures and systems.

3) Manage the HR budget preparation for the Company.

4) Ensure adherence to HR good practices and compliance with all local labour laws and other statutory requirements in Malaysia.

5) Handle enquiries pertaining to HR matters and maintain confidentiality of Company and staff information.

6) Prepare HR related reports.

7) Assist in the operation of the hotel as and when required.

8) Any other task as requested by the Immediate Supervisor.

Requirements:

1) Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Human Resource Management or equivalent.

2) Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with at least 2 years spent in senior or leadership role.

3) Experience in hotel industry is an added advantage.

4) A team player and able to work with others effectively, respectfully and cordially.

5) Must possess good knowledge of Labour Laws such as Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, HRD Act and prevailing HR practices and legislation.

6) Able to work under pressure, multitask and meet tight schedule in a dynamic working environment and with minimal supervision.
