Islamic Colleges (KIM) was established on February 24, 1955, with 55 students from all over the Federation of Malaya, including Singapore, Brunei, Sabah and Sarawak who have been successful in the Entrance Examination. Then the main course of the College have been prepared and approved by the Council. Opening Ceremony of the College, which is considered as the National Council was held on 8 April 1955. The day before the event, the Working Committee was replaced by the first Council of the College under the Constitution and the Commissioner Alsagoff was appointed the first chairman.
